1×1 Guide Gratuity is 10% – 15% US of your Base Hunt Cost (can be paid upfront or in person to your guide)

Liquor and Beer is at the discretion of the guest and can be purchased on the way to lodge.
You are responsible for your hotel going and coming from the site. Meat is deboned and froze on site.
Hunters will have capes and horns prepared to take home with them. The cost of shipping this home runs at $100.00 per 50 pound box of meat on most airlines.
Cost of deboning meat and bagging and packaging in 50 Pound boxes are as follows and includes antler and cape preparation for shipping also.
*If meat is donated or left it is still butchered and deboned and paid for by the hunter.
If a hunter decides to leave camp early it is at his own expense to get back to the hotel. A rental car can be arranged or the charge to return the Hunter to St. John’s will be $400.00 US funds.
For Woodland Caribou high powered rifles are recommended from 30-06,308,270,7mm and 200 are the usual calipers used. Your guns should be sited for a 200 yard shot.
Things you need to bring include: sleeping bag, warm clothing, including gloves and hats. Don’t forget your rubber boots and rain gear. Binoculars and a camera are a must have to get the marvelous pictures of your trophy, to show your friends. A lot of areas are accessible by cell phones. Hunters are advised to pack gear in a duffle bag at a max weight of 40 pounds for the helicopter.
A typical tip for a hunting guide is between 10-15% of your hunt.
Guides often depend on tips as supplemental income. Hunting guides work extremely hard to make your hunt a successful and memorable experience, and if you feel a guide, PH or particular staff member had a significantly positive impact on your safari experience, please tip that person accordingly.
On an International hunt, USD cash is the preferred form of tip, as many foreign banks charge a large commission to exchange checks into currency.
Non-hunting Observers are also encouraged to tip, although usually a lesser amount.
Prior to departure, make sure your firearm(s) are in working condition, have been sited-in correctly, you have a lockable hard travel case and you have plenty of ammunition.
May 1st, 2020, Canada updated it's firearm laws expanding the list of firearms prohibited in Canada. Make yourself familiar on what is not permitted into the country.
